Sandy comes with a diverse commercial background holding strategic leadership roles in industry and academia. Most recently he co-founded and partnered in a successful strategy consultancy before joining Insights as the Director of Learning and Culture in December 2021. He continues to provide external strategic advisory for Boards and not-for-profits in areas combining his expertise and passions.
Following his early private sector leadership experiences across the UK and Ireland, he moved to higher education forming an international executive education business and taught strategy at a range of universities and clients globally.
Sandy loves new opportunities to learn and became an accredited practitioner for Insights Discovery in 2020, influencing his approaches to strategy, coaching and leadership.
The function’s ultimate goal is the same as our colleagues, we want to deliver on Insights purpose. We look to achieve this by developing an exceptional people experience across our employee journey, designing strategies that optimise our capacity to create value and nurturing our culture to support these aspirations.
Life is always busy for Sandy and his team; his commitment to culture and strategy means that his focus is always positioned with our people, purpose and goals in mind. Supporting the reduction of our carbon footprint is a part of his role he truly enjoys, working with our people and engagement team to bring green innovations to the forefront. All of this is wrapped up with his characteristic inquiring style and a little humour!
